The Art of Noise

A suite of ten noise making machines, for children to play. Loud noises, rude noises, weird noises: a sweet-shop of found sound.

Commissioned for the Music Boxes children's event at Manchester International Festival in 2011. Accompanied by workshops in four local schools making DIY reed, string and percussion instruments. 

Rejuvenated for Deliaphonic 2022 in Coventry, celebrating the spirit of Delia Derbyshire and her wish to stage a music/ sound / art festival.
